Mario Odyssey Locked Doors

I got this question in my head since the first time i played this game launch day but only now that i m replaying it i realized that i could ask.

The entrance to this secret place is near princess peach s castle. Key doors appear in super mario run in the level boohind lock and key where they can only be opened with keys.

Key doors resemble ghost house doors from new super mario bros. Once entered key doors cannot be entered again. As you travel you ll encounter locked doors and npcs that want to see a particular look. All keys in this game are guarded by phantos one of which will chase the player until the key is dropped or used to unlock a door.

This is a frequent thing you ll encounter in pretty much every world. Unlike many other items in the game keys are always visible without having to be rooted up like a vegetable. There will be passages doors and pipes blocked by rocks or rubble until you clear that level s main objective.
